Just a guess, fibre optics is relatively new to the Malaysian shores, so companies can only offer to push this service to densely populated areas like the Klang valley, Penang, and certain parts in KL.
TMNet is probably to lazy or lack the financial resources to upgrade their lines to fiber optic lines, so we are stuck with slow speeds and inconsistencies..
Now we should take a cue from Estonia..

Ya right! Being Malaysia number 1 ISP and they monopolizes the market, I doubt they lack the financial resources. Maybe they feel why need to give malaysian so high speed? Speed kils.
Thoughts are like a never ending ocean where it is deep, endless and dangerous

They speed is ok but they just give 70% of it, if you get 2mbps, you will get 1.7mbps and not full speed like your package.
