Happy National Day to fellow Singaporeans
Well, I am a Singaporean...and slightly a few hours ago on 9th August, Singapore celebrated its 44th birthday.
Hence, I am wishing fellow Singaporeans in this forum (if there's any) a happy national day. May we all continue living peacefully in a multi-racial community.
P.S. If I am not wrong, Malaysia celebrates its national day on 31st August. Hence, I wanna wish Raymond a happy national day in advance (I know its kinda early but I am national day spirit now lol)
May Singapore and Malaysia be good neighboring countries always.
They call me the mysterious one...

What??
If the government is considering the delay of National Day celebrations; I assume H1N1 must have been really terrible in Malaysia. I am sorry if I am wrong coz haven't been reading the news lately...

In yesterday's news they reported that it is now "uncontrollable". Medias... as usual they put a lot of fear into human's life. Sorry I don't read a lot of news because most of it is bad news. I don't want to wake up and get disappointed on what's happening around this world.

H1N1 here became a hype because politicians here are grooming themselves up for the upcoming 2010 elections

Well, I guess we think alike. Even I don't read news that often; I don't buy newspapers or watch news on TV regularly. Often, I get to know what's happening in the rest of the world through friends and relatives. And sadly to say, most are about politics (being dirty), terrorism, bombings/killing of the innocent, disasters, etc. It's like this world is full of bad things happening and I see people's mood/feelings get affected after reading/watching such news (one good example would be my mom; she can get too emotional at times)
On the other hand, news are rather important in our daily lives. If we don't keep ourselves updated, we are bound to 'miss' on lots of things. For example, tech news. Not to forget, celebrity and sports news are forms of entertainment and that can be good for us (depending on who you ask though).
Lol, I am getting off topic. Back to H1N1...I hope none from this forum gets infected with it...coz I 'almost' got one (alright, I was just exaggerating..I had a bad fever for 1 week lol during the H1N1 period). It's pretty sad to hear people dying due to such illnesses..I guess the Malaysian government is simply doing its best for its citizens...Health concerns more than celebrations..
