I got these lines from my friend who said that he got those from a linux website...
" In a world of no walls or fences, there is no need for windows or gates!!! "
Who would like to support these lines.
I do support this, and what about yours...

Geeks never die. They just go Offline.
Quoted from: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/possibilities/products/Windows: Life beyond your PC
Imagine a life without walls. Where you connect to a global community of more than a billion people and nothing comes between you and a world of ideas and opportunities. With Windows on your mobile phone, PC, or the web, walls begin to disappear—at home, at the office, and anywhere in between. You can balance work and life as well as fun and functionality. And with a wide range of software, services, and devices to choose from, your technology can be as unique as you are. That's Windows. Life without walls.
That's Microsoft ad/tagline: Life without walls.
But now...think of it this way
" In a world of no walls or fences, there is no need for windows or gates!!! "
Haha..isn't it just funny? If we were to really 'imagine a life without walls', what will happen to Microsoft?
P.S. I am not a Microsoft hater (I wanna be but I try not to...)
They call me the mysterious one...
my motto is...when it's hot, chill baby
No microsoft? Give or take 6 months or so and we would all have adapted to mac and linux. Of course most would use MS to as much as they can as most are born using ms.
"If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit. There's no use being a damn fool about it." -- WC Fields
I was 'born' on Unix. When PC's became available, I switched to M$ (DOS 2.10), as other viable options were out of my reach ($$$). We can all (and will) 'rag' M$, but if it weren't for them, most of us would not be here on this forum today. There is, however, a future without them. They are unlikely to disappear from the landscape, so we may as well accept them as "partners".
If there is no M$, most of the people will switch to Linux, because of the Apple's Mac is too expensive that normal users can't afford it. Apple get their money by selling hardware but not OS.
Precisely! Mac controls not only the software, but also the hardware that they will support. Their job is so easy. If you can control hardware/software that will run on your machine, it is a walk in the park. Linux and Windows, on the other hand, have no control over the billions of possible combinations of hardware that will be thrown upon them, and expected to perform flawlessly.
Leaves us with 3 choices:
Mac: A system that works flawlessly, with few choices.
Linux: A system that works flawlessly, with more choices. or
Windows: A system that works with flaws, but more choices than either of the above. (a compromised choice.)
I agree with you all...I have always wondered why some people argue that this OS is better than that, etc. I mean to each his own, isn't it? Personally, I find that each OS has its own + and - , its own pros and cons...either stick to what works for you or use all of them...you don't have to 'force' upon others to use your fav. OS...
P.S. My fav? None...hahaI wish I can create an OS that rules them all. An OS that is free, not too technical, has an abundance of chioces and most importantly works flawlessly. Something like Windows + Mac + Linux combined together...wouldn't it be great?
This is off-topic
I'm not against any OS but "Life without MS is Boring and Stagnant"
