    Check your IQ.

Hi guys here is just a small question. I will make my question small... What is the maximum visible distance that a normal human eye can see clearly without using any magnifying instruments.? Please dont google it. Just think or measure it with you eye.

I tried to think but I am not good at guessing distance. So, I did what most other intellectuals would do, Google it (I know you say don't but Googling is part of learning and my IQ has just improved...)

P.S. Nice question. It made me think for a while.

I am old, and my eyesight is not what it used to be, but I can still see stars trillions of light years away.

EDIT" If you are thinking on this planet, then you can only see as far as the horizon (about 26 miles), but as the altitude of your object increases, the greater will be the distance at which it can be observed from. That is using normal atmospheric conditions. Under abnormal conditions, anomalies can occur. While working in Antarctica, I once observed a mountain range that was physically 300 miles beyond our physical range of visibility. It was clear and bright...I called down to the mess hall for any/all to come and see. If we had been within visual range of these mountains, we would have been forever locked into an ice shelf.

Polkadot had got it right. And the actual answer is " the maximum distance that a human eye can see clearly without any magnifying instrument is INFINITY".
And it can be proved as we are able to see stars which are even measured in billions of light years.
The concept is the distance never matters but the intensity of light that comes from it determines the visibility. We can see stars at so much distance since they emit light which are recognised by our eye. Another part of it is we cant even see what is standing in few foots from us in a complete darkness. The visibility depends only on the intensity of its light.
