The best thing that you learnt from raymond.cc.

Raymond.cc is a place where we can gain new ideas about computers, gain new friends, improve our skills, etc...

Every day we come across a number of information in this forum or blog...

Out of those infos, what is the most useful or best thing that you learn from raymond.cc...

For me the best thing i learn is the solution for the recycler virus, which was given in spyware/viruses category a month ago...
Recycler virus is common in my college pc's, and that solution is really useful for me...

    What about yours...

The best thing I learnt so far? I don't know? There are too may useful info here, I just can't rank them. But a wise man has once said:

Knowledge is not valued by it's content but by how it's used.

P.S. That wise man is me.

Well, this might sound odd, but I learned a lot about the Windows operating system.

Before I signed up to the forum, I was using Ubuntu Linux, exclusively. And for the first couple of months, that's exactly what I was used to.

Shortly after, I got my Vista laptop (which now runs 7), and have had a lot of issues with it.

I also learned a bit more about Linux... and actually use Zenwalk on both my server and my laptop at the moment.

I've used Linux for about a year before joining the forum, forgetting a LOT of Windows basics while learning Linux. It's only through the forum, I'm re-learning Windows.

It's difficult to pick one. But I like daily articles of Raymond Blog (though some of them are adopted from articles posted by users in this forum, but he explains in detail after he tried n tested)

I know this may sound odd.

But I didn't know about how to open registry editor before. I don't even know anything about security. All I know before joining is as long as you have an antivirus updated, you CANNOT get infected. I was wrong. And I am not so much of a noob now. But I still want to learn new things.

I have a similar thing lunar... This is where i found what a forum is(i had heard the term forum only then)...

But now i was currently administrating a phpbb forum for my college students...

Its all from raymond.cc, and i am proud of myself being a member of it...

P.S:- Your title "Still a Newbie" below your name is great lunar... I think your are the only one to get it from all 7k+ members of raymond.cc...
