    Poll: Mac Subforum or not

Please comment here if you think we should have a Mac section to add to our forum. Add why you are for or against it would be nice too.

Personally, I'm against it because I don't think there's many Mac users here and the section would fall into waste.

    No, for the same reason.
I do not think we do not have Mac Users enough and I do not know if we have a MacIntosh guru/expert to help.

A MacOS sub forum would be nice anyhow, hence if there are Mac users please tell what you think about.

    Thank you

[EDIT TO ADD] this poll is open to Windows and/or Linux users, of course

I also do not see a need for it. Mac vs. Windows war might also be start with passage of time.

Well, if we haven't give it a try, then we wouldn't know - my vote goes to a YES even though I'm not a Mac user myself. Linux itself doesn't take much crowd here but we do have a section for it - so why not Mac? At the very least, those who use Mac can do all their discussion, freebies, security issues, whatever in one place....and we Windows users can interact with them and learn a few things from them....just like we do in Linux forum.

As for issue of Mac vs Windows, that's a no-brainer. Even if we don't have the Mac sub-forum, who is to say that flame war wouldn't exist....nobody can stop anyone from saying anything....the damage control is done by the Mods and Admin and it's all a matter of a 'out you go'. We're here to learn and respect each other, if all you need is to fight, you're invited elsewhere....

As for Mac experts, you won't find them without a special place for them already existing, right? It's a matter of time....

I have the feeling that I may be the lonely guy here voting for a Yes but I hope not so....

Im not into Mac vs Windows, just ineterested in learning a bit more about the Mac, easy enough to google, it's just i would like to see it on my favourite forum, so i would vote yes, some Mac users are a great source of information, both Mac and Windows have their fan boys as does Linux.. All said and done the Forum comes first..

Well, I'm not a Mac user, but I vote Yes to a Mac section, because:
    1. It would be good for the forum, as mac users would have a place to discuss issues and possibly it would attract more traffic.
    2. It would be good to mac users.
    3. It would be good to me , as I could learn more about mac, just like about linux.
I just think we should be careful to avoid the possibility of having mac freebies sub-forum, mac security sub-forum, etc., under the Mac section. But the risk is not a big one, as we already have the experience with the linux section.
    Cheers.

on a second tought: why do not we open an OS2/Warp subsection too?

I have used it for some months and I could help

    I'm joking of course.

we do not have many Mac Users, I have seen 2 or 3 maximum here while Linux and Windows users are many more.

Who will help our possible Mac Users? Any Volunteer?

I agree for a Mac sub-forum, because i believe we can learn or atleast try to learn something new.

But i suggest not to open a sub-forum for Mac untill a Mac user volunteers and say, "I use Mac".
As far, everyone voted in this thread doesn't use Mac, so without any active Mac user, the forum will be inactive.

Geeks never die. They just go Offline.
