A ''doctor'' and his ''instruments''

Hi,

I promised that I open this thread considering what is written ----> Here

Here is the doctor .



Don't be afraid of him , he is a nice man . Besides of some eyesight problems and a right hand tremor everything is fine .
( Have I ever told you that he is right-handed ? )

His equipment , I mean .... his medical instruments . ( Some of them. The rest you will see below ----> the modern ones . )

1. As you can see he has a bow . Don't worry , I never saw his Black Arrow nor The Black Arrow ( but I can not guarantee that he does not have both ) . Honestly I can not figure out why he needs it . Maybe he is required in completing treatments . I asked him and he whispered something in my ear, but the only 2 words that I understood were .... ''treatment'' and ''final'' . Even now I could not figure out what he wanted to say .

2. I'm glad that he has no knife ( at least I don't see it but I do not guarantee that he does not have one ) . As far as I understand the knife was dull / worn very hard during the last surgery because the bones were very harsh . What / whose bones ? He did not want to tell me .

3. He told me that he hid behind a Tomahawk . He said that he needs it if the patient is restless . I don't know what he meant by that , but I'm always restless / anxious when I see a doctor . A strange thing is that he did not want to tell me which side uses it for treatments .

4. He said he also has a hidden pipe , the embers of it is very useful for patients . I guess it's about heat . A sick man needs heat ( warmth ) around him. I hope he thinks so because if he thinks about heat on him .... hmmm ..... . After all I think that this pipe is The Peace Pipe ( Calumet ) .

5. The feathers . They are for spell and chant . Depending on the disease the spell can be short or long . Strange is that in heavy disease spell is short . I thought it was the opposite . In my opinion if the patient is very sick he needs more spell .... but maybe I'm wrong . Indeed .... he knows better than me because of its long experience . ( Have I ever told you that he is 80 years old ? Yes , he looks yonger in the picture but this picture was taken 50 years ago . )


It has all the knowledge at hand .
Oh , yes .... His knowledge is not only in his head . He also holds documents . He even sent me a copy . I could not decipher anything. I hope he can .
It is strange that he would not tell me why some lines are written in red .




He knows many secrets of traditional / ancient medicine .
He has all the necessary plants and uses modern methods in their preparation.
He told me that he can prepare a herbal ''elixir'' to cure all diseases in the world . Hmmm ...''elixir for all diseases'' .... That seems a bit strange . I hope it's not something like ----> He will not harm you , but he will not heal you .
Also I hope he never forgot the correct proportion of each plant individually .
Yes ... I hope that he doesn't know about Mandragora / Mandrake or Atropa belladonna .
He is a doctor after all and he knows what he does . At least I hope he knows .
( I said too many times that ''I hope'' ? )





Don't worry , he also knows the secrets of modern medicine .

He says that besides plants has some pills . He always has a tendency to arrange them in strange shapes .
( I'm glad that I managed to persuade him to remove what was there .... I mean in the middle of pills . )



Here are some of his modern instruments .
( There are few but very useful . )

Bistoury .
He says he is very pleased with him . It's better than the old knife .
He also operated a elephant without any problem regarding the bistoury . When I asked him about the elephant , he suddenly became silent . I still wonder why .




Tonometer .
I'm not sure what are those buttons on it . I asked him . He didn't want to tell me but I noticed his strange smile .
Hmmm .... It's very strange that line to heart .



Stethoscope .
Hmm .... Do not ask me why it is red .
I don't like the top of the stethoscope . He told me that he will put it around a neck . Oh yes .... I almost forgot .... his neck .



About the next instrument he told me that is his ''Secret Weapon'' but did not disclose what is in it .
I think it's a special syringe but what I found odd is that he did not want to tell me how and where he will use it . However after much insistence he gasped me something about .... ears .... behind ears .
Also he said that ''if necessary'' he has ''something'' similar but that ''something'' is used together with .... bullets . When I asked how that instrument is called he told me two words : ''machine'' and ''gun'' . I still don't understand what he meant . I do not understand what is the connection between these two words because as I know ''gun'' = lurcher / cheat / juggler .... .
I think he wanted to brag a little because I did not know about such a medical instrument .



When I already think about the fact that he no longer has any instrument ( done with them ) he showed me something else , but fortunately I can not insert any picture in this post . I can say only that there were many instruments with different sizes .... yes .... they were sharp .... very sharp.

I wanted to stop here with this post but after I read what I wrote before I realized that something worries me about him and about his trust / confidence in his skills and instruments . So for more security and peace of mind , I set up something with someone who can be very helpful if the doctor fails in his efforts .

If you have started to fear until you've reached with the reading here , now it's time to relax and smile . A big smile .... from ear to ear .

I think my ''Secret Weapon'' will be very useful ..... I mean helpful .

Okay , okay .... I know , you want to know what I would answer .

So .... If you ask me .... my answer would be ----> After all , the syringe does not seems quite so big .

I apologize to the doctors or nurses of us. I hope nobody was upset . It is intended to be a joke for us , to relax a bit .

I know that doctors and nurses are those people who take care about our health and for this we owe them a very , very big :

Hey Murphy, when did you meet my family Doctor! And trust me, he has a knife, a very big knife, which he uses very skillfully. So who would I rather be treated by? H'mmmm, thats quite a dilema. On the one hand we have the "good" Doctor and on the other we have Nurse Goodbody. I'll have to get back to you on that one.
