    Cool Mac vs Windows

I've been wondering about this argument...
"Why do people choose Mac (Apple - Macintosh) over Windows?"

I personally choose Windows due to its wide variety of software/hardware compatibilities than Mac. Sure Windows has more and is more vulnerable to viruses,malwares,etc... but that's why they invented the "Anti-Virus,Anti-Malware,Anti-XXX".
It really causes me to become a bit/more stereotypical to the user/owner of the machine.

It would be a big relief to me if someone could help me understand why.

To me, I've tried and supported hundreds of Mac OS X computers but I just didn't like them very much.
It's unlike Windows where there are so much possibilities. However Apple products are nice looking and simple to use.
I have the iPad, probably the first and the last Apple products and until today I still don't even really know how to use it because I don't really put much effort into using it.

Same here I have 2 iPods (3g nano & touch), and an iPhone; I think they are 'nice looking' and simple to use at some degree. However... bottom line is that, the iPod Touch and iPhone are both jailbroken - both haven't even lasted 1 year 'jailed'. So going back to the topic... so far I think that the ONLY reason why people buy them is because they are 'slick-looking'; and on the other hand - the reason why people won't/don't buy them (I included) is because they're too limited.

PS. maybe you should jailbreak your iPad as well to get the most of what you need out of your iPad

Thank you @mazingAG gave me a laugh and made a good point, Apple is i candy and expensive and i liked OSX but windows has it's challenges and not confined or tied up as much as apple.

At the end of the day the choice is yours alone -NCU if you have a pc and a mac side by side then you can make your own comparisons, a pc for the most time does what i want it to do with a better price tag to be honest.

Once Macintosh were the computers most used by graphics designers for several reasons.
Today it is most likey a matter of fashion since MacOsX systems are as vulnerable as Windows O.S, but many Mac user believes their Mac are immune to virus while it not true.
Windows is more targeted by malware writers since it the most used and sold O.S

I have family members who have Macs and they love em, but personally, I prefer my PC.

Getting down and dirty with windows Bear, where would we be without the hair pulling and headaches, a friend of mine along time pc user well before my time is interested in getting a Mac for the same reason Leo pointed out graphics and design as he is nearly finished an advanced course photo-shop and sees them as better than the pc for this purpose although i can't see him giving up windows entirely..

A nephew of mine has tried to show me the "virtues" of having a Mac, but so far I have resisted the urge! Who wants simple (Mac) when hair pulling and headaches (Windows) are so much fun!
