First:
You seem to forget, when 2111 rolls around... only 100 years later, the same thing will happen. Same with 2211, 2311, etc etc..

Second:
The adding 'trick', is just a little math. See here. Furthermore, no year is 'year of the money', but rather, it is what you make it.
