    i like the ribbon effect, although it hasn't been popular and it's meant to be ease of use so im for it, no doubt this is going to be a talking point and there will be programs released to revert to the earlier kind.

    That's the problem...those type of users have to use 3rd-party programs if they want to 'revert' the look. MS has all sorts of "backward compatibility" stuff in their OS and yet is it so difficult for them to provide the option for users who chooses to go back to the 'classic' look for Start Menu and Office Suite for example?

    I have read some great progress in Windows 8 blog & It's too early to speculate something good or bad about the ribbon adoption, maybe there's a miracle behind it? Despite the recent ala Apple like improvements in windows, I'm still a windows classic loyalist! :P

    Again, this is a highly subjective matter.
