Can you build a PC in 3 minutes ?
CCL proves you CAN build a PC in 3 minutes
Starting with a chassis that has the mainboard screwed down, CPU in and PSU ready to go, how long would it take you to assemble the rest of the system ?
Remember, you are competing against the clock – being watched/annoyed/cheered by a sizeable crowd and – when you have finished – the system must boot.
Yep, we’ll say that again.
It’s not enough to do all the cabling etc, it must also boot Windows, access the internet and load the CCL home page.

Thank you Solin for the share, i have seen a couple of competitions like this before, as for me i like to take my time and enjoy it.
Anybody can build a PC and there is so much information around and alot of help these days and if you like reading or watching some-one building one it can add to the satisfaction.
I remember some time ago they had a similar competition with a vw beetle engine in and out in less than four mins.. it took me 25 mins but i did connect the heat exchangers cables and fuel lines and change the clutch.
practice makes perfect

The short answer to that question is, "No". I think it took me about 6 hours to build mine, but then I'm not a pro at it.

But it's not the time, it's the quality

And I had fun doing it, especially with my great nephew BigGuy's help!

Considering a lot of the fiddly stuff was already done like motherboard & case >> motherboard connections it probably wouldn't be that hard to get relatively close to those times. It's hardly 'building a PC in 3 minutes' more like 'plugging some bits into a half built PC in 3 minutes'.
Would be interesting to see how long it takes to do a complete from scratch build...

I believe a good designed case without requiring screwdrivers and a motherboard with built-in graphics, sound, and network allows me to build a PC within minutes, but probably not 3 minutes.
All I need to do is install the motherboard to the case, processor, RAM, power supply, hard drive and a cd/dvd-rom. Finally connect the internal cablings and voila.
