Regarding the basic color background !

In general, many people use a white base color background, be it in blogs, forums or on websites. Whereas the white base color is dazzling the eye. I really hope that Raymond wants to change the basic colors of white with a color that does not dazzle the eye. Thank you..

Have to agree with you Solin the white can be a bit dazzling depending on the time of day, i have a mixed feeling on the white back-ground on one-hand the posts are clear and easy to read on the other it can be hard on the eyes, should be interesting what the other guys have to say about this, as i really like the new look of the forum.

I have to agree that dark background is easier on the eyes but some people may stay away because dark represents evilness.

Most if not all of the most popular websites have white color background. Google, Microsoft, Facebook...

It's just a matter of feeling, because there may be people who fear the darkness. Or maybe like a superstition / myth ..

I think we should dare to do something different, rather than follow others. There is no reason to follow them. It would be nice to observe and maintain the health of our eyes.

I will see if it is possible to have a theme changer to switch to a darker background but with the same design.

on the contrary whilst I agree that green is more relaxing I find majorgeek basic background colors sad, chaotic and a bit squallid.

Personally, I like the white background with black print, because it is easy to read. At 56 years young, my eyes can use all the help they can get.

There is no reason the more important and nothing is more precious than the health of the eye. Not until the dark color. Can with a little gray or colors that do not dazzle the eye.

After my reply earlier i was looking at overclock 3D as it's where i go for my fix on the latest releases, and although the background had always been white the room at this point had been changed to a subtle grey, (not what im suggesting here) but everthing really looked fantastic, as it's no comparison with a forum like ours silght change can make a difference, i do find the white hard at times a bit too bright, and thanks to Solin im more aware of it...
