As I had bad experience with the last registry cleaner from GOTD site (it cut my registry badly) I try now to avoid all products of that kind and only use Revo,s junk cleaner keeping in mind the words one guy said me on this forum.

saturnguy62 this is with out a doubt, a very nice find for the people that are aware of and are actually experienced enough to use such a program, how ever, for the people that are NOT familiar with it in any way, they should be very careful when it comes to deleting items out of their regisrty, very dangerous.
Basically in the wrong hands, tools such as registry cleaners can be devastating to your computer's well being. I can't even begin to tell you how many Kaboshed comp's I have worked on in the past where as my customers have used such cleaner only to find out they should NOT have in the first place.
A good example would be a program like this could or will pick a feature such as a registry item that will point to one location or other that may be there on the sole basis that it should be removed because it is empty, and with out the registry cleaner actually knowing that the registry line in fact was placed in that position by a certain application on purpose to be used as a temporary place holder that a file could be stored in if needed by it for a short period of time, the registry cleaner then tells you to delete it, you do, and Wammo, your application that the deleted file belonged too, no longer works. Poopoo on you.
If a person wants to speed up their comp, they should start looking at the situation from a starting point of initial boot up sequence, this instead of starting at the point of deleting items in the registry.
Windows has a built in feature called msconfig. Starting through this method by turning off any unnecessary applications that will run automatically when your comp boots up, will increase the speed of your actual boot up time jiffy quick, therefore your registry will in fact be taken care of properly by you, instead of you having a FooBoo and Poopoo.
In short, be very careful when deleting things that you or your program is not 100% certain of.
The above is only my opinion, when I think about it, what in the hell do I know any way, not much lol

I don't use the above program. This has a free version and a Pro version. This is why I mentioned the free version when I posted it so people using their free version could get their paid version for nothing. The one thing a person should look for when installing these programs is to make sure they can do backups with it before using it at all. That's why one should only run these when they've deleted a program anyway.
