JOCR-How to Extract Text from Images?

Hi

JOCR is lightweight OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software that enables you to capture the image on the desktop screen and extract the text from the captured image. The extracted text is saved into an editable text document file.

It is common to extract text from pdf document files. But when the text is too long, you probably want to try JOCR.

GOCR or JOCR?
The original name is GOCR. It's what is used internally in the sources. But, when registering the site at Sourceforge, gocr was already taken. So, it's kind of both. Yeah, we know.
