Ginzon, it's not part of the standard Norton suite. It's something you need to install alone.

That my friend, is a legalized keylogger. The thing is the admin of your PCs has to install it or you yourself have to install it, otherwise, it will not install. I can, however, see people using this in malicious ways by wrapping it in a fake Norton installer.

I just find it downright stupid the "world's most trusted security firm" (my friend called it, not me) would do something as low as a gloried keylogger

I'm going to have to agree with LunarWolf, sounds like Parental Control. But since it can be accessed online that's just weird. Because you can download parental controls to your desktop and never see a website to view information. At least my son isn't old enough to get online so no worries here. At least Norton is trying to do whats called, "Supply and Demand"...

It is a Parental Control, and shows what they are doing online. But showing what people do online is still a keylogger. Like I said before, it's a legalized version. If you're this paranoid over your kids you need to use a keylogger, sit down, and talk to them! If you don't have the time, then MAKE IT.

I mean, come on. If you don't trust your kids, how are they going to trust you?

If they find that you put a keylogger on them, they are going to do everything in their power to get around it. Or to remove it. And no doubt, they'll have trust issues with you! I refuse to trust my mom because she wanted to put a keylogger on my computer. I'm 19! My dad told me about it and I blew up at her for good reason, and now refuse to trust her with anything.

The best way to deal with these problems, is tackling them before they start: talk to your kids. Either that, or just don't bother with computers and internet. Give them stone tablets.

There's being worried over your kids, and then there's going too far. I think this is the latter of the two.
