Hi, what do you guy usually use the backup software for? I cannot find it useful for me?
First, I have Restore point.
Second, I have virtual machine.
Third, how many DVDs is enough to back up all the thing in my HD??? I mean my HD is over 500 GB. Is it waste to back up all to DVDs?
Please tell me what you use Backup software for? What is it benefit?
Thanks.

you can save youre work (e.g. documents witch are changed several times a week)
you can also backup to 64GB pendrive not only DVD`s
So where do you get the key?
Or did I miss something?
To judge from its size (241 Mb) this must be both the 32 bits and the 64 bits version, but you definitely need a license key. It was a GOTD some 5 months ago, but I could not install it, because everything rolled back just before finishing, and I was not the only one, to judge from the comments on the GOTD site. I would not recommend it. Just find Acronis, which can be found for free too, or use Hiren's boot-CD.

Imaging is not for making backups, but for restoring your entire disk together with your OS after a crash (which cannot be done just by backups).
Full setup instructions (including activation) particular to Drive Backup 2009 SE are detailed in the pages of Computer Active magazine issue numbered 267.
That's how I found setup instructions for Wash And Go 2008 in Computer Active No. 296 which I shared in that thread earlier.
However, I haven't had time to obtain a copy of Computer Active No. 297 yet.
Anyone already got it?

I have no idea whether this link still works:

Finally found Computer Active No. 297, page 52, where it says:
".... Follow the instructions within the installation process to get your serial code. Your code will be emailed to you. If it doesn't arrive within an hour, check your junk mail or spam folder." (emphasis mine)
