Get 4 Free games from Steam. Be quick. Limited time only.

For a limited time, 4 free games are available to all NVIDIA customers. This offer includes Portal: First Slice, a general 11-level demp of the uniques new game from Valve that has earned Game of the Year Awards. Also included are Half-Life 2: Deathmatch, Half-Life 2: Lost Coast and Peggle Extreme. All NVIDIA customers may easily obtain these games for free simply creating a Steam account.

(quoted from the offer site listed below)

    http://www.steamgames.com/nvidia/

What are you waiting for? Grab it while it is still 'hot'!

NOTE: You would need an NVIDIA video card. I am sorry for those who are using ATI Radeon...(and that includes me, pity huh?)

Oops...for those who do not know, here is how to find out what video card you are using:

Click Start (button in bottom left corner) – then Settings, Control Panel, Display, click
“Settings” tab – if you have NVIDIA, it should say something like “Display: Plug&Play monitor on NVIDIA..”.

    Enjoy.

Portal First Slice and Peggle Extreme is now available free for everyone:

The ATI offer was announced by valve in may 2007 and I'm on a nvidia card so I havn't checked it out myself if it still works.

"May 30, 2007 - Valve, a leading entertainment and technology studio, today announced plans to deliver free games to all owners of ATI Radeon graphics cards via Steam, a leading online platform for the distribution and management of digital content.

Effective immediately, all owners of ATI Radeon graphics cards may receive a free copy of Half-Life 2: Lost Coast and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch via Steam, http://www.steampowered.com/ati_offer1a/. Steam will automatically confirm the presence of ATI Radeon(tm) hardware and then enable immediate access to full versions of the games free of charge.

For added convenience to new purchasers of ATI Radeon(tm) products, Steam will be included in all ATI Catalyst(tm) Software and Driver packages through early 2008.

And, as recently announced by AMD, customers who purchase the new ATI Radeon(tm) HD 2900 XT will also receive, upon release via Steam, the highly anticipated trio of new games coming from Valve: Team Fortress 2, Portal(tm), and Half-Life 2: Episode Two.

Some conditions apply. Customers will be required to download and install the Steam software, and will require an Internet connection.

For more information, please visit www.steamgames.com."

    To 4yotasan,

    Thanks for the links...

    To muann,

Sorry, even I myself do not really understand this 'promo'...I don't play games actually...that's why. Erm, if only someone here can gladly inform the rest as to whether these are demos or full version...

P.S. My friends are all gamers...CounterStrike, L4D, etc...but I am not. Can someone here tell me what is CS actually? I know it's about shooting or something like that but I have never tried it before...Is it really good? Seems like Raymond knows it..mind if you tell me here..

CS 1.6 is really fun. I think Source is a little more n00b oriented. You can spray and still get a good amount of kills. 1.6, you need to control your shots.
