What a coincidence,I just read about this program and wondered how effective it really was.

I used the free version since about 4 years ago, It works pretty well and they have now more softs infos and downloads since their database increased. At the time I was using it it was about 150,000 soft infos! The news section works pretty well and I remember they announced the day that you could download DIVXPRO for free it was something like DIVXPRO 6. Well to confess I missed that opportunity since I was not on my pc that they.

Its like driver scanner but includes also general daily empoyed soft. Once the premium version was on giveawayoftheday if I am not mistaken! Also premium version offers more.

SUMo is supposed to be better than UpdateStar or at least so I've read.

Hi
SUMo and filehippo update checker are both free so basically it should be compared to UpdateStar free version. If you instal UpdateStar you will notice that it has a better feature and this increase in the premium version. The checking with SUMO is slower and the good with filehippo update checker it directs to update.filehippo.com for download.

UpdateStar premium can automate installation if the export-import feature is employed, imagine installing 10 or 20 softs after cleaning windows!

But this is also depending on each one preference, checking the free version should be enough to make a decision.
