    And you have no use for 25,000 entries in your hosts file. Must really slow down surfing!

    That's one of the reasons I do not like Spybot S&D: their 'immune' system packs your hosts file full of every site that they feel is undesirable. The other reason I don't like it is that their detection rate is horrible. Their main function in security is to keep you away from the bad sites. WOT does a better job, without slowing you down.

    It may do provide a little umbrella ( protection ) but at the burden of the user...

    It may be useful to others, but those who use this kind of protection must also be warned of the effect of populating their host files...

    On the other hand, if you are looking for porn sites, download/install it, copy the hosts file to a .txt, and then reset your hosts file to original. You probably will now have the best listing of porn sites!
