this is actually second giveaway for Paragon Partition Manager 9.5 Professional in less than 2 months i already had a licence for this version - how does a company manage to survive when flagship products are given away like this... support maybe but i also havent payed a cent for any support...

It seems like as soon as they put out the new version (they're up to PM 10), the old one is given away for free. Is this the same version as the last free giveaway 2 months ago or have the upgraded version 9.5?

My guess is that because Acronis is being given away for free with Seagate, Maxtor, and Western Digital disk tools, and there are so many other free ones out (Macrium, Clonezilla, Gparted, DriveImage, Easeus), they have to figure out a way to keep some of the market share if they hope to sell the company one day to a larger player. Even Norton Ghost is consistently offered free after rebate.
