I posted this half a year ago, but it is still a back-door entry into a very good zipper/unzipper and encryption tool.
Little history here: Paul Katz (PK) invented the "PK" and the "ZIP" format, hence PKZIP. He never believed that Windows would ever catch on, and never copyrighted/trademarked the "zip" format. Being the geek that he was, he moved on into encryption, and combined the two. In his founding days, PKZIP was shareware...anybody could download it and use it freely...if you liked it, you could send him a contribution. Enough of us found the program superior to anything else at the time that we did voluntarily send him money. Now it is a high priced tool used by almost every branch of the US government (including the CIA).
True to his early days, "PK" still offers this tool to us free of charge! Get it free here:
