How many times have Symantec's OEM software -- NIS 9/10 or NAV 9/10 -- been posted all over? Do those humongous money-machines enjoy it?

lol i had no idea and i certainly dont intend to check if every promo is valid before i post a new - for me - promo, so if you guys already have it just skip it - simple as that. if theres no tolerance about this i will simply not post hot finds in this forum anymore - period.

Personally I like being informed as such whenever such opportunities are available. I think Raymond's attention had been called by overly confident entities who feel they don't need any more publicity, though. How come they (like Symantec people) can't stop other bloggers who have been posting blatantly the same thing every day?

I stopped using anything Norton and have since avoided it since 2001 or 2002, but for many more the name still is relied on for whatever reasons they have.

    seconded richie1913.
There is nothing wrong in reposting.Nobody searches for the promos in the pages other than page 1 (as they don't know whether the promo is still alive).
Better to relax some rules or some of the members may leave this forum...

I think the issue is more of OEM software -- particularly by the Symantec/Norton money-machine -- being posted here.

It's easily understandable. But I'm not too eager to leave this forum.

Unfortunately I can't answer that. Maybe one of the Moderators and surely Raymond himself has a better grasp on this issue. I've been sanctioned for something lesser than this.

Hope to see more of this thread tomorrow. I got a call. So long, buddies, thanks for that wonderful interaction. Happy trails to you.

What does OEM actually mean,I know It means you dont need a code but whats the
difference between a OEM version and a paid for version.I have Norton Internet Security from eons ago, came with a computer I bought back in the year 2000,thats a OEM but i never tried it,its still in the original wrapper sealed!
