It's been over a year ago, but I won't forget Uniblue's SpeedUpMyPC messing up my registry and some applications like no other application at once did. Luckily, I was still using System Restore as well as armed with ERUNT.
On the other hand, I didn't notice any improvement or benefit ... I don't know about this "NEW" one, but I won't gamble my new system ... I don't have time to tinker with it unnecessarily (an incorrigible habit) as yet.
Thanks anyway
it might be good for others.

CCleaner is way better...don't ask us. Just download the installer and install. Or if you don't want to install, you can use the portable version instead. Try it and you will love it...most of us here do.
CCleaner might not have as much 'features' as compared to alternatives like TuneUp Utilities or Advanced SystemCare but it works fine....basic yet powerful. Most importantly, it's registry cleaning process is among the safest (and that's very important if you don't want to mess up your Windows)...

Ditto, same opinion with CrapCleaner. I use both slim (installed) and portable (to carry wherever I go). Just can't resist experimenting on others.
Like JavaRa's sibling PureRa -- so obscure it's almost unheard of -- I find it potent yet discrete (like OxyClean) whenever occasional (like weekly) deep cleansing is called for ...

I also conduct full check of Registry Integrity every time I deploy its Cleaner function. I haven't once encountered any problem with Piriform CrapCleaner all these years. Quite the opposite feeling when compared with my earlier experience (2000-02) with RoseCity Registry First Aid which hasn't changed much over several "updated" versions.
As a prudent measure, you can quickly back up the registry with ERUNT, which works all the way to 64-bit Windows 7 OS. After all, I do this routinely at my desktop's wake-up time every morning.
While we've side-tracked on the the Registry obiter dictum, ERUNT comes along with an excellent registry compaction tool, NTREGOPT, which I believe is a far more sensible concept in lieu of a "registry defragger".

You're welcome, my good friend ... thought I got carried away, but those are all based on actual experience.
How I wish I had enough time to spend visiting the forums
BY THE WAY, CONGRATULATIONS! I failed to see it. More power!
