    Supremely nice find!!! Thanx!

    And very much worth noting is that Pro version appears to only be $19 and then you can purchase optional dictionary additions.

    One of them is Oxford Dictionary of English:

    The foremost single-volume authority on the English language - revised and updated to include the very latest vocabulary. This version comes with 70 000 high-quality audio pronunciations from the Oxford Sound Bank, making this the definitive English dictionary reference.

    Features include:

    * 350,000 words, phrases and meanings
    * 67,000 usage examples
    * 70,000 audio pronunciations
    * 11,000 encyclopedic entries
    * 550 usage notes
    * Includes word list of 232 000 entries for word finding and use with Crossword Compiler

    The download size is about 120MB (you can also order a CD-ROM).

    I've had my eye on the Oxford English Dictionary for years! ... But it was always horrendously expensive: $300! They offer it as an add-on for $29!

    Of course, now that the excitement has passed, I wonder if it's an abridged version of The OED. Probably... unless they finally decided to extend their customer base beyond libraries and educational institutions. One can hope...

    Just checked. Oxford U. Press sells the ver. 3 CD for $80 and then an upgrade to ver. 4 for another $80. ... Or ver. 4 CD is still $300 but out of stock atm.

    Of course that's much cheaper than the hardback version:

    20 volumes (~ 22,000 pages; > 400,000 entries) for $1,300... or $6,300 if ya want it in blue leather.

    Yeah, l know... far, far more than ya wanted to know.

    I just got overly excited.
