I've had my eye on the Oxford English Dictionary for years! ... But it was always horrendously expensive: $300!
They offer it as an add-on for $29!
Of course, now that the excitement has passed, I wonder if it's an abridged version of The OED. Probably... unless they finally decided to extend their customer base beyond libraries and educational institutions. One can hope...
Just checked. Oxford U. Press sells the ver. 3 CD for $80 and then an upgrade to ver. 4 for another $80. ... Or ver. 4 CD is still $300 but out of stock atm.
Of course that's much cheaper than the hardback version:
20 volumes (~ 22,000 pages; > 400,000 entries) for $1,300... or $6,300 if ya want it in blue leather.
Yeah, l know... far, far more than ya wanted to know.
I just got overly excited.
