New FREE antivirus using Bitdefender scanning engine

This is a new antivirus which it's BETA version did appear in Raymond's blog last year as 1 of the ways to get 1 year Bitdefender Antivirus 2009 subscription. While we need to register for using the BETA version, the final version has waived this unnecessary procedure.

This antivirus passed it first attempt in latest VB100 comparative(windows 7-December 2009), which means it fully compatible with Windows 7. The english version is available soon, according to the rumours.It's very identical to Bitdefender Antivirus when you run and scan for viruses. While the update frequency is almost close to bitdefender , the signature database is exactly the same with Bitdefender Antivirus with extra trojan detections on top of it(which I believed the extra detections will appear in Bitdefender's database too.) The best thing is it has kernel compatible mode for us to run concurrently with others security software,includes Kaspersky, though we can expect how the system will be slow down by that way. Anyway, it's default setting will detect the antivirus on your computer before activate real-time protection.

Qihoo 360 security tested by VB100 is actually the antivirus module only. The homepage for the product is: sd.360.cn . Hence, it's more accurate to call it as Qihoo 360 antivirus.It use bitdefender scanning engine.
In the other hand, the real 'Qihoo 360 Security', which is not tested by VB100 is an antispyware and firewall module integrated with a windows optimizer mainly to clean registry, defrag registry,junk files cleaner and services tuneup. It's different from the antivirus. It use the scanning engine developed by themselves.
And Now:
The dual scanning engine already available. yet, the firewall and windows optimizer is still not included in this latest version. The user can choose to download single engine(bitdefender) or dual engine(both) product, but of course on different build. The additional cloud detection module has added into the dual-core build to increase the efficiency on scanning unknown malware and private trojan.
