    Confused CAMEYO: Application Virtualization

Just read about a review of this program, HERE, by our old friend, Ashraf.

[W]hy would anyone want to virtualize a program? I can think of a couple of reasons...

    1. The desire to make a non-portable program portable.
    2. The desire to not lose a time-limited freebie (e.g. GOTD giveaways).
Very intriguing and exciting. And apparently, although it's in Beta... it seems it's planned to be freeware!

Check out the review and the Cameyo homepage is HERE.

    From their "products" page:

Cameyo is a free, open-architecture application virtualization product. It combines best-of-breed application virtualization technology with simplicity.

Application virtualization technology packages entire applications into a single standalone executable, eliminating the need to install.

While application virtualization technology has been around for years, good application virtualization products have been expensive and complex to learn. Whether you are a home user or an enterprise IT administrator, take your applications with you or deploy them easily.

At Cameyo, we believe application virtualization should be within everyone's reach.

I saw that, Jelson (got RSS feed to Ashraf). This does look very interesting. And different. Virtualizing a program rather than a system/OS.

    Installed
I hope this software will remain free: it is easy to use and very fast.
If you use EMSISOFT antimalware or mamutu just temporarily disable their Malware IDS (behaviour blocker) or this program will be blocked
