I'm not sure if the "friend" name you enter has to be an actual employee of AVG, I just entered "John Smith" so we will see what happens. After entering it says they will mail you the key in "a few days" so hopefully this will come through. Worth a try since it only takes a few seconds to enter your email and come up with a "friend" name.

One way to find a "friend" is to browse the AVG Forums and see if you recognize anybody .. . not that I would do that though ..

@jon hmmm great idea, i'm Sure Admins & mods over there are using AVG products, so it would be better to enter their name

I think we can use the names we use here for this forum and AVG makes a comparison to see whether they are actually friends and if the same name is mentioned as friend by many, there may be chances of getting the license. Just my guess
