Looks like Avast sends keys only to e-mail ids not known to it earlier. It wants to get new users. I tried for several days with the e-mail id I used for registering Avast free but still could not get a key though I answered at GMT 12 AM. But when I used a new e-mail id I got one key though I answered a bit late

Finally after 22 days entering 8-10 times a day I won a key, wow I thought I was never going to win. I won with same email id I have using Avast Free AV which I have had for the last 2 years.
Was also wondering why could not get through to your site for nearly 2 days, always error message saying site moved or when get through takes forever to load , maybe 1 page about 5 minutes.

The Avast license key file starts to count validity from the day they send (no shelf-life).
So 1 is enough, 2 are excess. (if and only if you got more computers to be installed or for your friends)
