I did the same as mrm52858 did.

KIS seems to get rave reviews and people gush all over it, but I'm having trouble uderstanding why. YMMV, but it's my opinion. Maybe I'm just missing somethingm but it wouldn't be so bad if the KIS forum didn't have more people having similar issues with no real answers.

I must tay that I miss Avira PSS though. Kaspersky is a but too dictatorial for my liking. If I disable any thing or tell it to ignore something the notification icon stays in warning mode & the gadget stays red. I don't like haviong a prema-warning just because I tell it to ignore a false positive or an email or well, anything. And if I choose to disable something I don't need or is inompatable...don't perma-warn me. I thought Avira could be difficult at times, but KIS is far worse IMO.

I've also had net connection issues since I installed it last night.

It seems that the warnings went away after some rebooting. Not sure if this is normal behavior, but it shouldn't require reboots to clear warnings. I hope the connection issues remain stable, but it seems it was fine all night.
Even though ProLasso shows relatively low resources for KIS, it sure can make things seem a bit sluggish. APSS could be at times, but usually only during scans.


Things are looking a bit better, and I've got 6 months to see how things go, maybe by then there'll be a good APSS prome going on if KIS really lets me down.


*FINALLY SORTED OUT*
It seems that KIS has a tendency to bork NIC drivers. I had to reinstall them & no more disconnects.
