    Thanks! Nice share, @mazingAG!!

I believe you need to install this rather quickly. I tried installing a previous promo from them after some time had elapsed and it wouldn't activate.

Also, note this from their Support page:

Q: Can I install the program on a USB drive?

A: Yes, you can install it on a usb drive from a PC but the program will only work on the PC where you install it on a usb drive.
Has anyone tested this program to see how it compares to Recuva? (I read a review the other day comparing to 3 other freeware recovery apps and it came out on top.)

You are correct jelson in that if you insert the key into the program after the promo ends it won't activate, but there is a way round this....

If you don't want to install it now, when needed create a registry key called 'iCarePro' in 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\'. Right click the 'iCarePro' key and add a new 'multi-string value' with the name 'REGCODE' and put the serial number you have in 'data'.

Or, if you already installed it, go to 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\iCarePro' in the registry, right click on the 'icarepro' key and export it. When you install at a later date, just import the .reg file into the registry before installing the icare software. Obviously useful if you want to install to a different o/s.

Has worked every time for me, so should be fine for everyone else too! Of course, you could always make it portable using Cameyo or Thinstall as well. Remember, don't install software like this to a drive you're trying to recover data from!!!

    Thanks HAL!!

Went ahead and installed it and then exported the key (exactly where you said it would be.)

BTW, have you tried virtualizing it with Cameyo? Just went to their page and saw they have a beta of an Online version. Interesting.

    Oh, yeah.

"Open the pod bay doors, please" Sorry, couldn't resist.

Please advise in more details of the way how to import the .reg file into the registry and thanks for the help!

Works great using the Cameyo app, didn't try the online version though...
