    Easiest programming language.

Coming from someone who has no idea how to program, what is the easiest programming language to learn?

C is the easiest. C++ is hard but programs like utorrent are written in C++ and C has very few functions. there is also C#. but C is the easiest of the three. there are also other programming languages like Java but i do no know much about them.

Again, what kind of functions could I do/ expect to do?

All I'm trying to do is write a full screen text app that prevents certain hotkeys while keeping others active.

C# or C++ is NOT the easiest. The easiest language to start off from it GW BASIC (Graphical Works Beginner's All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code).

Yeah surely. GW BASIC is extremely simple. It follows a noob friendly interface and code unlike other languages where you have to remember all the codes. Mastering BASIC means great command over C++ and Java.
