how to rename multiple files without space in given file name
When we rename multiple files in XP without any third party tool. when it renames it add a space before (1) i want to remove that space while renaming.

while renaming for example , if you type BUDGET as the new name, the first file is named BUDGET. All of the remaining selected files are named BUDGET(x), where x is a unique number, starting with (1). and we will have filename BUDGET (1).extension there is a one space between T and (1). i want to remove this space

There is no space b/w them. it only comes if you put. look:

how u r getting numbering without () this. i tried again but space is there and numbering in a () bracket

that "()" is called parenthesis.
You can remove that by just clicking on the name of the file, then click again after a second. but not double click. then you can remove it, press enter.

I dont believe its possible using only XP, however the free program found here works great

I use LupasRename to do this
http://rename.lupasfreeware.org/lupasrename.php
It does autonumbers.
