2 versions of MS windows in Msconfig
i have 2 versions of MS windows Op system running in startup is this normal as well as 2 HP wireless assistant. Can i disable these or uninstall or just stop from running on boot. When i check about the MS process i just find info about MS windows. I have no idea how much RAM each uses.
I understand i do not need the Wireless assistant but really not sure. The wirless asistant is an Hp service but why 2 of them? When i look at other forums they disable this in XP but cannot find much on vista. Any help is Thank'd

you do not need HP wireless assistant. i got it but it only runs once on startup so you probably should just disable one of them. as for the system processors you should not disable system things.

Both of the microsoft things are system related. and they are different. It is recommended for you not to disable them.
As for the HP thing, remove any one as bray said.

The wireless assistant is just an assistant that informs you if you're connected to the net or not. not useful because you can see that on the taskbar anyway.
btw for the health programs, they are not necessary just for the average user.
better alternatives available out there

Well i disabled the HP wirless and it seems as though its taking longer to connect now. I was connecting almost instantly but now have to wait a couple min. Trying to lighten up vista and start up is taking longer now probably due to the stall of connecting. i have tried a couple different optimizers that helped but i get a lag now and cannot figure out why

Maybe disabling the HP Wireless from msconfig is not the correct way. Try launching HP Wireless itself and see if you could set it to use Windows Wireless Config?
