    Screen Resolution Won't Change

    Recently, I dual-booted XP.

Right now I have Vista, but there are no screen resolution problems.

As I boot into XP, the resolution stays at 640x480. I installed/re-installed my drivers 3 times and installed/re-installed my monitor drivers 2 times. No luck.

I rebooted several times, but never any luck.

My monitor is a SyncMaster T220HD, my video card a 9500 GT GeForce card.

Check Device Manager and see if there is any yellow exclamation mark for your display card?
Right click My Computer, Properties, Hardware tab, Device Manager.
