I mean it's getting really annoying at the random freezing..And when I mean freeze the entire computer locks up. This computer im on is a AMD athlon 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 4800 1024mb 320gb Go wireless DVD burner NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE Graphics Windows Vista Home Premium..... Anyone know whats going on? Its been doing it since I decided to take it back home after leaving it w/ my godson... Now I alrdy did a MulwareBytes Sweep, Registry Cleaner,Defrag,Virus Scan, Spyware check...I even got the UniBlue DriverScanner,Registry, and Speedupmycomputer for checking it out. Any assistance..or know when Ray is able to get on the online chat? Im on Central Time USA. Thanks for any help u can give.

Have you tried stopping all the background running tasks that start when you boot up?
Start >Run> type " msconfig" without the quotes in the dialog box > OK
Select Startup tab. From the list uncheck all boxes except your security. OK. Restart your computer.
On restart you will be presented with a box saying that changes have been made. Tick " Don`t show this again"
Sorry if I am trying to tell you how to suck eggs but you didn`t mention this in your list of things done.

My recommendation is very basic. Open up your computer case, making sure to put your hands on the side of the case, before touching anything. Then press your video card in firmly, along with any wires you see connected. After that, close it up and do the same with any wires flowing into the case, like a video cable.

I'm thinking it's a loose wire, but if you see a lot of dust when you open your case, I'd get some compressed air to dust it. NO chemicals other then that. Compressed air is around $10 at a computer shop but a great investment.

This might seem like an odd steps, but that's what normally gets my computers to freeze, dust and loose wires.

Sounds like either an overheating, or RAM problems. Free utilities are available for both:

http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php has a program called "SpeedFan" which will give you an instantaneous temp reading of your CPU (& HD). Keep monitoring it both at idle, and at heavy chrunching. If it gets too high, you need better ventilation.

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Memory-Tweak/MemTest.shtml is a RAM tester. To really test it, you should let the test run for an hour (or better, overnight) while nothing else is running. If anything else is running, it cannot test the memory that is in use by other apps. The ultimate test is to get the bootable version. That way, no OS or anything else is running, therefore you can test ALL of your memory.

i will go with hellnoire and polkadot ,

open up the case , clear all the dust , usually at the heat sink above ur processor, make sure you ventilation fan is running smoothly. If you are good with hardware , try re-applying heat sink compound between ur heatsink and processor

    sorry for all the typing.

Ok, did everything you all said. I even did the Crashed thing to. Theres no errors(Ran it for 1hr 22min), cleaned it out(Dirty as hell), and when it froze up and I restarted there was no dump reasons or driver interference.... So, I am completely out of options I think of reasons it is freezen up... Anything else?

Try downloading WhoCrashed and run that, see if it finds anything. If it does, report back what it finds. (Try to keep it to one post though.)
