Angry Unable to delete Virus Removal Tool Folder

Yesterday, I've installed Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool to do a scan on my computer. But unfortunately, it didn't load(no interface load) and at the same time AVG detected as Trojan virus.

So, I healed it and decided to uninstall the software but the only thing that went away is the "uninstaller" file. The folder remains on the desktop. I also got the error "Access is denied. Make sure the file/folder is not full or write-protected......." while trying to delete it.

I know you need to go to settings and uncheck something to delete it but as I said the interface didn't load.

    Tried Unlocker but didn't work.

So, what should I do to delete the folder?

    Does Raymond have any suggestion?

Lol. I have the same exact problem. just that it always BSOD when I run it. Then now I can't delete it. Try this. I deleted unins000.exe so I'm, just gonna leave it there. I'm not going to risk another BSOD.

The reason why Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool can't run is because AVG has wrongly detected it as virus and blocked it. Here's what you need to do to delete Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool.

    1. Disable AVG.
    2. Run Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool
    3. Disable Self-Defense

    4. Close Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool
    5. Delete the Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool folder.

Well apparently, disabling AVG didn't work at all. The main problem I'm having is that after I installed it, the software wont load. No interface, nothing. And the method shown in the link that xje4bv gave didn't help.

One more thing, after I restart the computer, I got a "cmd" prompt running files from that folder.

Now I'm really out of ideas...

Can I just delete it from command prompt? If so, how?

I tried using Total Uninstall to uninstall it. It deleted some registry keys but the folder is still there. And if you select the folder's properties, you would see that the folder is read-only. Unchecking it does not work as it self defense is still on preventing any file attribute modifications. here's the log if you want to delete those registry keys. i tied deleting it through command prompt last night but it didnt work.

Here's my Total Uninstall log, if you want to delete those registry key. I have removed the unsuccessful removals in the log to save space.
