Reset bios password
The usb function has been disabled in my lab's computers via the bios and the bios is password protected. Is there any way to reset the bios password (anything except opening up the case) and enable the usb support?
The motherboard is intel D945GCPE. I hope i get some good suggestions.

Try these;
http://www.utilitygeek.com/KILLCMOS-f31.html
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Decrypting-Decoding/CmosPwd.shtml
Your motherboard is not listed under the supported mobo's in CmosPwd, but if you're really desperate, you could try it. Caution though, these might seriously mess up your pc, sometimes even bricking your mobo.

Is there any tool that can play around with intel bios.
I'll see if CmosPwd works. Thanks.

Youself can clear bios password. Open bios setup; click at new passoword and don't write anything; click F10 to save ... Some bios return to default mode when it battery is removed.

'scuse me, but...if he could get INTO BIOS, he would have no reason to change the p-word.
Easiest, safest way requires opening the case, switching jumper setting from 1-2 to 2-3, then rebooting, then shutting down again, resetting jumper to 1-2, and rebooting again. On this startup, BIOS P-word should be reset to factory original...probably null.
