hard disk mbr currupt

I have seagate hard disk 360 gb, its mbr is corrupting again and again.
Everytime i repair mbr it corrupts within 2 to 3 days sometimes within hours
please help me what should I do. I am using windows xp

Hmm that's weird. It's either your computer have a virus that is causing this weird behavior or a bad software.

I formated my computers c: drive and installed fresh xp .
I connected my secondary hard disk (which is creating problem) and then it runs disk check everytime I restart, i repaired its mbr again and formated it.
But after few hours it corrupted when I was working on computer. I dont know why its happening, if its a problem of bad mbr software then could you please suggest me any good software to repair mbr and then I can make backup of mbr so that if corrupted again I can restrore it.

Can you still boot your PC? And if not, what message do you get?

You say you are repairing your MBR all the time, how are you doing that?

Since you are on Seagate, you could check your HD with a Seagate special tool called Seatools (freeware)

the hard disk which is corrupted is my secondary hard disk, no problem in booting whenever the its mbr is corrupts then i put bootable cd of active partion recovery to repair mbr. I have already tried those 5 tool but they dont work , i don't know why . well now i will try seatools , thanks for suggestion

Maybe also try checking your system memory with Microsoft Memory Checker (iso file to burn on cd) or equivalent.

I have 2 secondary hard disk in my computer, and only one of them is always targeted, its mbr is corrupting again and again, so please tell me any good mbr repairing tool. I have already used mbr tools given on raymond.cc but none of them are upto mark.
