If I was that paranoid, I'd just disable my internet connection.

WOT won't block them either if you change your settings.

    Hi HalfEvil,

Q1: I checked out the site but it does not Say if it works with IE ... only keeps talking about FireFox!

Q2: Would LinkExtend interfere with my Downloader that is integrated into my IE7?

    Thanks,

    G!

I have used both McAfee ST as free tool and as part of the suite and it is not too bad tho it is not as updated and as accurate as others.
People also complain about Norton which i am using right now with my
Norton 360 and i find it ok.
I think AVG LINK SCANNER FREE is a better choice but sometimes i find it a bit heavy. My best choice woul be AVG LS free
    Windows Vista Home Premium
Comodo FW AVG Antivirus free MBAM Glary Utilities

AVG link scanner is best used in conjunction with the IS. I liked it. As far as it's independent version, No, it sucks and a pain in the butt to configure and It shouldn't have to sit in the taskbar tray using more cpu. I've used Mcafee Site advisor off and on as well as WOT, but I hate my browser being slowed down. I prefer to use common sense when it comes to browsing. And if it looks suspicious, immediately leave the website, but firefox also has built in anti-phishing, so if you do stumble upon a bad website it will block it.
