LAN file sharing problem
I have two XP systems installed in my computer. Now my problem is that I can access all the shared folders in the LAN with one of my XP install while in my other install I can only access a few folders. I get access denied error. There is absolutely no restriction in my LAN regarding file sharing.
Does anybody know why this happens

Let me make my problem clear. I have a LAN with 3 other computers. In my computer I have a dual boot with two xp installation.
Now my problem is that i can share files normally with one xp installation while with other I cannot access the LAN entirely. I get lots of access denied error. I am wondering why is it that i can access certain folders but not others.
It seems the LAN is working but some sort of restrictions have been placed. I've checked with the other computers but no restrictions have been placed. And with my other XP installation I can fully access my network. I know reinstalling XP will solve the problem but I'm looking for a better solution.

I am sure the other XP shouldn't have anything to do with the XP that works with file sharing since the settings are in registry and both XP should have its own registry.
So you're saying that the "problematic" XP can't even access the network?

No no, the problematic XP can access some shared folders and drives but not all of them. It can access the LAN. Just that the access to LAN is limited to a few shared items only. With my other XP, i can access all the shared folders and drives.
