Problem with KIS 2009

I think it is hard to believe but me and my friend faced a very big problem because of KIS 2009. Our computer used to restart randomly and sometime at the same time. I had this problem for about 6-7 months. I even formatted my hard disk coz of it but the problem persisted. I never doubted KIS for it but one day My friend told me that it might be due to KIS and when I uninstalled KIS, the problem went away. I installed ESET, worked with it for 1 month then I thought of trying KIS once again and again the same problem resurfaced which made me believe that it was only due to KIS. Earlier I was using KIS 7.0.0.125 but never had such problem.
Anybody else faced this problem? or anybody has his views to share about my problem.

Your computer used to restart maybe not cause of KIS 2009, your computer runs too hot can get you restart automatically.

I think you did not carefully read my post. and I am sure heat was not the problem coz my system is not restarting even though the temperature here is well above 40 C.
It was only KIS that was causing this problem and I am perplexed. I don't understand why that happened.

Its a long shot but have you by any chance set Kaspersky to shut down your PC after a scan?

If you click where the arrow is pointing then click on "Finish Session" it will allow you to choose what happens when the scan is complete. To disable this option remove the tick from "Finish Session". It is the same for both Full and Quick Scan. To access these options you must have the scan running.

No... I never selected that option. I still want to use KIS but scared that the problem will again resurface. but thanks for putting so much effort for taking screenshot and putting it here.

It could be that KIS is conflicting with another program have you any other Antivirus>Antispyware programs on the computer,

No ... I never used 2 security softwares on my computer. I know they can have conflicting behaviour. but By now I am sure that my problem was very rare. Till now,in my knowledge, its only me and my friend who have faced it.

Better get in touch with Kaspersky guys via email(tech support)..Dont forget to mention ur hardware ..in this way Its helpfull for other rare people who are facing the same problem

yes i also encounter that kind of problem KIS makes my computer hang and slow...i uninstall it and i use avira and it works fine.

Thanks for your suggestion but I am afraid of contacting them as I was not using a legally purchased key.
