    Password storage in the system

    hi Raymond
I just wanted to know that, when I login to any websites such as with a login popup, and there you are asked to save your password, and later on when you login again, just entering your name it shows the password in asteric, my question is where are these passwords stored in the system, are they part of the cookies, as when ever I clean my temp, cookies and history files , these passwords are removed as well and are not stored. Is there any other place that these passwords are stored or can be stored for future use.

    Thanks and Regards

If you're using Firefox, it saves them in a special file. Go to:

    >Tools >Options >Security

You can set your options there.

If you are cleaning your pc using a 3rd party tool, such as CCleaner, then you should be able to specify for each browser, what to delete, and what to keep.
