left panel of windows explorer not there

hi everyone!! i have lost my left panel of windows explorer,,i don't know how,,,,means when i open "my computer" left panel is not there,,,,,can anyone help me plz...............

You're using XP? Select the "Folders" tab from the toolbar.

yeah i m using xp sp2,,,,,folders are there,,,but i m talking abt other options on left panel,,,,,means when we normally open "my computer",,,there are some options in left like,,,,,,make a new folder,copy the file,move the file,,,,that are not visible,,,,,plz tell me abt that,....

right click my computer -> properties -> click advance -> visual effects -> custom and Select Use common tasks in folders, Ok

Open up a folder and go to Tools | Folder Options | General Tab

In the "Tasks" group select "Show common tasks in folders".

Click on "Apply" and then "OK"

If that option is already selected select the other one, apply all settings and then re do the procedure.
