well if you're not satisfied with your pc's performance you should. safest choice for me would be advanced systemcare. i've had no problems with it. i had no conflict with any registry whatsoever from the pc's that i've installed it into.

as i know the only thing messing up your registry is when you usually test a lot of software then if you are not satisfied you will try to uninstall it thats when some value keys are left, revo uninstaller will help you or ccleaner.

Run a good defragger and clean out your junk files and see if you gain any speed.I recommend ASC also.I run the Pro version, but the free one is quite good.If you are interested in it,you should first go to forums.iobit.com and read all of the thread "Usage of IObit Products".This utility should be configured before you run a "repair",as some system settings can be changed that will have adverse effects. Most of the problems stem from people just electing to hit the blue "Care" button without looking at the proposed changes. The big difference between "Free" and "Pro" is the "Deep" registry scan, but the "System Optimization" is where you need to look at what settings will be changed.IObit's Smart Defrag can be installed and incorporated into ASC for your convenience. That utility is Freeware as well.We have a great support team(long time users) over there, check us out.

ASC is good, but I have recently tried PC tools Desktop Maestro. Though the reviews for it are a bit sketchy, i used Registry Mechanic for years and this is its successor.
It does what it says on the box.
Advanced Windows Care, Tune Up Utilities or Desktop Maestro is good, but ASC just has the edge i believe. Plus, always change the settings to delete to recycle bin for you to check before permanently deleting as, if you have games saved on the pc, this will reset the highscores to zero. lol
