Tangomouse, this could be more to ask but a scene that I faced with my Friends PC....

A virus disabled his Windows F8 safe boot menu call...upon F8 b4 Windows XP starts Loading nothing would happen, could you add a feature to Enable this F8 Menu also...

think what ill do is add a menu and enable safe mode from there . if i can!


Wanted: new icon design 32x32 ,16x16 then one around 150X150 or bigger for logo must be .png file ,do ya worst guys!!

Also one more Problem which I found in 2 PC's...

The F8 menu is Displayed but no matter what option i select, i.e. Safe Boot or with command prompt or with networking, it would Boot Normally...

Try n Include this too in ur Re-Enable...

just wondering was f8 totally disabled or did it somewhat boot into safe mode and crash

ive been doing research on disabling f8 and safe mode ,and so far ive found 3 possible ways to disable safe mode ,1 edit ntldr ,2 app called nosafemode which ive been in contact with the devloper intresting how it works ,3 delete a registry key ,it would also come in handy if you know which virus disabled your safe mode.

this is gunna be harder than first thought any chance you can get a copy of the registry for me? ,use tuneup regeditor ,select export complete registry or run regedit click mycomputer and export

about which virus i don't know he was infected with many..



and in second scenario i requested yesterday, it would boot normally on any option selected...

ok got that ,so selecting ie normal safemode would result in a normal boot ,sounds like registry keys missing

Update - been working on restoring safemode ,re-enable now or will restore the reg entrys for safemode to run ,thats working now only xp at the mo ,also working on the code to check ntldr has been modified to disable f8 and restore that

cannot no matter how i tried to disable safe mode in vista or windows 7
