    Try
chkdsk c: /f your it's your C: drive that holds MPC. Sounds like a filesystem problem, or a permission problem

@muaan: if he says he has uninstalled n reinstalled i guess he's the admin of his PC, I know not always necessary but atleast when it comes to installing additional codecs.....

@MerleOne: well i m not a tech guy but i dont think its filesystem problem, if it would have been windows would go for a checkdisk unless diasbled...

I dont know exactly what to do but u can try deleting its registry key in regedit

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KLCodecPack

try installling it using some other path n see whether that error persist....

It is working fine but it is only a MPC exe but not klight codec pack.

Try opening it in safe mode, if it opens you have a software clash.
