I have question for Norman Antivirus expert

Hi,
My cousin just installed Norman Antivirus. He told me that his computer run slower than before. He did a virus scan, found nothing. I am not sure what happened to his computer after installed Norman Antivirus. Anyone use Norman Antivirus, please tell me if Norman Antivirus is really decrease your computer's performance? And do you fix it?
Windows Vista 32 bit SP2.

System Specs and Other Programs installed? (Security)

The only solution is to disable it for a while and check the system performance
Try to compare and see or observe the system impact and please do check other programs that are in conflict with it.

He does not have any other security software beside Norman AV. His computer is AMD 64x2 1.7ghz processor. Vista Home 32 bit.
He already disable windows defender.
