Yes, I did too...make sure you don't use your computer for too long OR if you are using a laptop, take out your battery if you intend to use it for a long period of time...

tried kaspersky rescue disc..the disc failed to scan my E drive.Don't know why..the scan starts but after sometime the scan window disappears.fan is working fine..
i am able to go in safe mode..in safe mode it doesn't restarts
by the way it mostly restarts when i put it into idle state

Not much to go on in the desciption. Maybe it is a program that you just installed. try safe mode (F8) and uninstall the program.
another idea, boot into safe mode and check the folder C:\WINDOWS\Minidump and see if there is a file called something like Mini071409-01.dmp. the numbers are the date. and the last part -01 are the numbers of crashes on that date. you can mail me the mini dump, and i have a look at it. filesize is about 60-100kb. so it very small.

Try running BlueScreenView to see if there are any mini dumps for your errors:

It is a straight-forward program that displays your crash reports.
