The stable release of google chrome?

What is the latest stable release (downloads for public) of google chrome?

When I click "About", it showed me as

Google Chrome is up to date 3.0.195.21

But when I go here,
it showed the version is

4.0.213.1 for Windows

So which is which?

Is the version 4 the beta one?

Google Chrome 3.0.195.21 is the latest stable version.

Google Chrome 4.0.213.1 is a dev (developer) build... it's not yet a beta. A dev build means that the software is not fully tested, can be very unstable and might not work properly.

So, the process for releasing Chrome should be: dev build -> beta -> stable.

Latest developer version of Google Chrome is 4.0.213.1
