    Compare Identical Texts

Recently Raymond has just posted an article about:
How to Compare the Difference Between Two Identical Looking Images

I am just wondering, instead of comparing images, do you guys happen to know any good software or apps that can compare texts? This is particularly useful when I am trying to compare the html codes from one source to another.

    Thanks in advance.

Lol that can be done.. Lets say you have folder A and B. Folder A has 1 file more than B. Then I will just make a folder copy of A and select all files in folder B and paste to folder copy A. All the same files (and folders) in the folder copy of A will be highlighted and I can know what the differences are..

Though without making a folder copy of A you can still perform.. just for safety precaution...

I'm presuming you want an offline app? Unlike Copygator?

If you are using Notepad++, there's a compare plugin which you can use to compare 2 text files.

Either online or offline app/utility will do. Copygator just scans for duplicate post in a certain RSS feed doesnt it?

I just want those that can compare two .txt files or even clipboard-paste, then it will show what the differences are. If you google you will also be able to find some. I just want to know your favourite that you think it's the best out there

Edit: Thanks for the suggestion Ray, but I am not using Notepad++.. Any others?

this site can check for difference in text files.

    http://www.comparemyfiles.com/

'potential' disadvantage : supports only 2 files at a time
